I sold a 97 nissan maxima for $3400 and i told the guy that the car was in excellent condition and that he pretty much he wasnt going to have to put money into the car because ive invested about 2 thousand into the car that i believe it is in excellent

Lacking any written warranty or statement of condition, all used cars are sold "as is". You told him about the starter, but even that wouldn't be covered unless you wrote that you would pay for that, and signed it.
